NAHB and Boys & Girls Club Partnership Overview

NAHB is working with The Boys & Girls Clubs of America to introduce more of America’s youth to a future career in residential construction. The collaboration aims to build better communities at the local level by working together to promote construction career pathways and connect the industry with youth to provide career exploration and work-based learning activities. The Boys & Girls Clubs provide safe places where young people can learn and grow. Learn more about the club members.

20 HBA and Boys & Girls Club Partnerships in 2025

NAHB’s Boys & Girls Club program continues to expand, inspiring future residential construction leaders across the country. Building on last year’s success, NAHB will award $2,500 to up to 20 local and state home builders’ associations (HBAs) committed to partnering with a local Boys & Girls Club (BGC) to implement careers in construction programming.

Partnership Goals and HBA Requirements

NAHB is committed to reaching the following program goals to help the 2025 cohort succeed:

  • Establish 20 HBA/BGC pairs in 2025.
  • Provide each pair with $2,500 in funding to support a minimum of four activities throughout the year.
  • Ensure each partnership completes at least four activities with their partnered club.
  • Leverage resources and support from NAHB and successful HBA/BGC partnerships to create strong, sustainable collaborations.
  • Aim for high engagement and measurable success outcomes across all partnerships.
  • Build the foundation for continued partnerships in 2026 and beyond.

In addition, NAHB requires each member of the 2025 cohort to:

  1. Complete an application for funds and readiness.
  2. Sign a pledge form with the partnered BGC club expressing commitment to collaborate and fulfill four events in 2025.
  3. Commit to participating in the 2025 Cohort Zoom meetings. These meetings provide programmatic support, best practices, and opportunities for cohort collaboration.

How to Apply

All interested HBAs are encouraged to complete the application and readiness checklist. Your responses in the application and readiness checklist will be considered when making funding decisions. We encourage you to carefully complete this as your responses will help ensure your HBA is well-positioned for consideration.
